About
Christian Heck is a professional performing artist with experiences performing in high-level solo, chamber, and ensemble performances - a teacher with proven methods of success - and an aspiring arranger with loads of talent. He is currently working towards his M.M. degree at Colorado State University, working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Colorado State University Bands. There he performs regularly with the CSU Orchestra and Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensembles, Trombone Choir, and various chamber ensembles. Along with that, Christian has made guest appearances with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra and the Health and Wellness Community Orchestra.Mr. Heck holds a B.M. degree in Performance from Boise State University, where he performed regularly throughout the Treasure Valley in Idaho. Along with that, Christian has performed with the Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma National Intercollegiate Band in 2019 and 2021, as well as the College Band Directors National Association West/Northwest Intercollegiate Honor Band in 2022. He was also a BSU Concerto-Aria Competition winner in 2020 with his performance of Ida Gotkovsky's Trombone Concerto, which was recorded live with the BSU Symphony Orchestra during the COVID-19 Pandemic.Mr. Heck has taught with various high-level Marching Bands within the Treasure Valley, providing insightful coaching and teaching leading to high-achieving performances with recognition in areas of Visual and Brass techniques.
